A thread here for live-target combat practice using grunt robots, or sometimes in absolutely necessary situations, live people. Combatants may vary based on location. Your stats WILL go up from here as need be. Each robot has several adjustable settings. You'll see. the protocol are the same as the other threads, but instead of having several things to enhance, you will receive no drop items, and each robot will only give you 100 EXP per bot (not counting advanced settings) and 5¤ as well(¤ = Currency). Combat Begins once someone enters the combat chamber. signified by a closing lock, and the appearance of a select screen. You must first step into the chamber to begin.

Note* this section of the RP board does not require that there be a large number of characters. Once you are in, feel free to take a shot and begin combat here. We'll walk you through it tutorial-style if need be.

Mmkay. So let's make this simple. Tutorial mode active. We'll walk through this piece by piece, and you'll learn along the way. To begin, though this has no rightout visuals, every player in solo for combat practice will be placed in their native environment. Enemies will be native, location will be native, and terrain will be indicative of this. At the start of a battle, you will be given a number of options. to begin with, let's have three. SELECT ENEMY: Elemental, Basic, or Complex. Enter the title of your choice:

Elemental: A light-powered enemy that attacks using a natural facet of elemental ability.
Choose enemy type or type "random" Wave, Spell, Explosion, Poison, Tech, Metal, Cosmic, Nature, Shape-Shifting, Force, Undead, Animal, Psychic, Dragon, Insect, Virus, Stone, Fire, Ice, Dust, Electric, Water, Darkness, Air, Melee, Status, Weapons, Speed, Energy, Gamma, Atomic, Basic Do the same for a map Location by typing "Area" followed by your selection, or simply choose random again.
Keep in Mind your character-type is Tech-Air-Animal. Your weaknesses are Electric, Dragon, and Speed. For this as your particular first battle, it is suggested to choose a nature, insect, air, melee, or energy based enemy, and a basic area.

*You find yourself in the middle of an open plane, containing virtually nothing.* *An enemy appears across from you. It has the appearance of an anthropomorphic falcon, all brown with a tinge of red here and there. Its large wings have talons on the ends, and it possesses humanoid feet. At the base of each wing, there is a seeming rotator joint that allows the Falcon-man to twist in the air with no problem. It has a scar over one eye, and looks pretty menacing.* *You currently have no items in your inventory*
>>As you see, this syntax will begin every battle, giving you an indicator of what your enemy is capable of and what his/her/its weak points are. You can use this to your advantage. >>also, you will notice now that I am using a different type of syntax to speak to you in tutorial mode. the list of syntaxes go like this:
>>speaking OoC, commenting on the match, or consulting the system guide "Dialogue" *Action not performed by your character* Item, Location, Enemy Name, Inventory, CommandList //Activate command, Attack, use item, action attempt ^view inventory^ and lastly <talk with other characters who are not present in the area>
>>so now, we will pit you against the enemy. you are equipped only with your auto-pilot-equipped EnergyPak, your Pink Combat Suit, Wing Operators, and a Heads-up display. Your suit is equipped with a medical aid protocol that replaces any missing bodypart with a holographic replica and/or specialized item. The holograms are tangible.
YOUR INFO Level: 1 XP: 0/500 Attack: 23 Resistance: 6 Max Health: 215 Money: 0¤
Your ENEMY - Falcon-Man Level: 1 Attack: 14 (+7) Resistance: 3 Health: 150 *Holds ¤ and 1 item
You have the first attack.
>>you will also be shown this at the start of every battle. It is to your advantage to assess whether to battle or to use an item to escape. oh, but you don't have one of those yet. you'll get one soon enough. to begin, I suggest attacking with a jump and kick to the frontal lobe. you may be as creative as possible in your attack sequence, but try to defeat the enemy with the best combos and moves you can configure. you are limited by only the items you hold and the imagination you possess.

>>Fair enough. You'll see how easy it is once you get the hang of it. *Falcon-Man anticipates your attack, blocks with both forearms and deflects you. he loses some health.*
YOUR INFO Level: 1 XP: 0/500 Attack: 23 Resistance: 6 Max Health: 215 Money: 0¤
Your ENEMY - Falcon-Man Level: 1 Attack: 14 (+7) Resistance: 3 Health: 146 *Holds ¤ and 1 item
>>Every now and then, this will happen. If you've ever played an rpg-style game like Pokemon, you may recognize this as the same as evading the attack or having an attack miss. But in this case you will recognize how your enemy still takes damage in a defending move as long as it makes contact. some enemies will be sneaky about that, but we'll just stick with this for now. *Falcon-Man returns with a leg sweep to knock you on your ass. He is ready to follow up with an elbow drop with its wing into your stomach*
>>This sounds pretty brutal. And this time you are on the defending end. From now on, every time it reaches your turn, you have a chance to A.) deflect or dodge, B.) use an item if you have one, C.) make your next attack, and D.) plan a follow-up. The follow-up attack does not have to be actually typed out or stated, but depending on the situation, you may decide you want to tell it. You also do not have to use the follow-up attack you previously stated. But you do have to use the initial attack string. An initial attack does not have to be a single move, motion, attack, etc. Be creative and throw some spice in the mix. You cannot be penalized for an attack you come up with, especially in this thread, so go wild. >>You see what attack is being returned to you, I'll leave it to you to come up with something to get yourself out of it. Slides, rolls, and any avoidance tactic are all valid. also, try to see if you can string together your dodge and your next attack, that way you leave very few windows open for the enemy to retaliate. Look for a weak spot too.

* Falcon-Man takes damage directly from both the attack and the ground impact. Falcon-Man ^reaches into his inventory and equips wrist blades^. Attack power goes up by 10* YOUR INFOLevel: 1 XP: 0/500 Attack: 23 Resistance: 6 Max Health: 215 Money: 0¤
Your ENEMY - Falcon-Man Level: 1 Attack: 24 (+7) Resistance: 3 Health: 112/150 *Holds ¤ and 1 item *Wrist Blades are Equipped>>Now you've done a good job planting an attack on your enemy, and allowing him to damage himself in the process. Certain Evasion Techniques such as this can be very useful when taking on some harder-to-hit enemies, or enemies that are stronger than you. The damage taken when an attack fails and instead causes a backfire results in damage taken equal to the damage that the attack would've caused to the other person. >>Therefore, the damage taken by Falcon-Man became 37, instead of 23. "But wait," you ask. "146-37=109, not 112!" The remaining 3 points were cancelled out by Falcon Man's Resistance. Simple enough. >>Now, you will also notice that Falcon-Man's Attack increased due to the wrist blades. "Where can I get something like that?" you ask. Well, at the moment, you have no such items. after a few more battles, you will receive one. We'll get there. When we do, you'll find yourself frequently bouncing back and forth between the RP threads and your Character Sheet. The character sheet will from now on be linked to the words: Your info, for easy access. >>Additionally, the "(+7)" displayed above refers to critical hits. When the enemy's attack hits head-on, the damage done will be increased by that amount. So watch yourself well. >>Alright, time to continue the battle. * Falcon-Man raises into the air, and proceeds to do a nipping attack, dive bombing repeatedly at you with his wrist blades extended.*
