UPDATE FOR 10/18/14 == Backstory *At least some progress. this may have to become an "Every-other-daily Update"*
Character - Stardust - H Affiliation - Roberts Clan, League of Heroes Attributes - Cosmic, Fire, Atomic
FACT - He comes from a long line of pyros. Meet Stardust, aka Zachary Roberts. His ancestors are semi-humans, brought forth from the genes of a race of aliens from the Moon of Io, circling Jupiter. This race gets its power supply from compacting other moons and null heavenly bodies, and withdrawing nuclear forces from the matter enclosed. Once, long ago, one of them was sent off to find more celestial bodies small enough to collect power from, and came across Earth's moon first. She was convinced it would be perfect, but then was informed otherwise by a simple blacksmith, Eric Roberts, when she went down to investigate the planet for a check on other resources that would be necessary for their planet. They quickly became betrothed, and she gave birth to a mixed-species child, who had a deformity in the palm of his hands, but they overlooked it. They christened the baby Richard, in the hopes that he would make quite a living off of his profession. Unfortunately, Rina (the female) was recalled to Io shortly after the baby's first birthday. She snagged a few asteroids on the way, and Io has been using asteroid power ever since. Back on Earth, Eric raised Richard to be accepting of all life, and besides to become a blacksmith as well, where he went on to surpass his father. He grew up, had a wife and single kid, then disappeared from the surface of the planet. from then on, all the Roberts descendants were only capable of having one child, and it was always male. however, the genetic cycle of this broke in the later portion of the 20th century when the wife of Ben Roberts gave birth to twins, Gene and George, and then a daughter, Elaine. Elaine passed away, George settled down and had Zach, and Gene has still been out there looking for someone and something to fill his future with. oddly enough, the genetic passage of traits broke its cycle with the birth of the twins, and it resulted from a split sperm cell and a double egg cell that Gene was left completely human, and the Qua-Ri people's genes, which carry over regardless of the dominant genes of humans, all collected into George, and formed a uniform representation of all sperm cells carrying 100% Qua-Ri DNA. Hence Zach. Perks are that he can absorb dust particles through his palm, which opens, and in turn gain energy and the ability to emit flammable gases back out, with a strong burst of energy. At the age of eleven, he discovered the opening in his palm, keeping it a secret from his family, and then experienced a "dream" in which his future self handed him a neutron star in a small capsule that he could siphon energy from. He still has it. But thanks to lack of word of mouth, he had no indicators for where it all came from. And it is that which he sets for his quest.

UPDATE FOR 10/19/14 == Backstory *Slow and steady wins the race*
Character - Ghostbeam - H Affiliation - Brunestadt Technologies Attributes - Tech, Undead, Electric
FACT - Ghostbeam is based off of the "Ghost in the Machine" archetype, with an added bonus of lasers. The story goes that his wife was a vain woman, and that she married him out of her wish to inherit his fortune. But he was oblivious to this, and still lavished her with all sorts of material wealth. Anyway, He began looking into the REM cycle with his technologies, and shortly after, she began claiming she was having nightmares, and asked him to look into it, and fix them. He developed a machine that enabled the dreams of one person to be replicated from radio waves reflecting off of the brain of a sleeping person. He had her put on the replicator headset and had her sleep, and found out that her nightmares were not a fluke. So he put on a consciousness replicator and delved into her consciousness to combat the dark thoughts with a process similar to subliminal messaging. However, after his body lost consciousness, hers regained it, and it severed the connection to her brain. This being something he hadn't accounted for, the code did not force his consciousness back into his body, and instead remained inside of the machinery. It is unknown whether his wife did this intentionally or not, because after waking up, she removed the headset, and threw a fit of madness. Her mind hadn't been fit to go through the process. And in her fit of madness, she ran out into the street and was hit by a car, and died. investigators are clueless to this day, and since, all but the irremovable technologies have been taken from the building. Ingvar Brunestadt Was left trapped in the machinery still, and possession of the building and all other assets was given to his next of kin, his brother. His brother left it alone for years and it got all dusty. but the power still ran and Brunestadt's bank account was synced to pay the electric bill automatically. Internet too. He heard about his wife's death, and has mourned inside of the computers for three years, his mental processes having been incorporated into the machine by the headset he had put on. In those three years, his mind and the machine's code became one, and now he can manipulate the computers, as well as the rest of the tech in the house, though he has no idea, and still has not moved any of his soul since. But lights do flicker on and off in that house sometimes... spooky...

UPDATE FOR 10/20/14 == Backstory *CHARGE!!!(disambiguation)*
Character - Great Stone Ape - H Affiliation - Jun Guar Temple Attributes - Nature, Animal, Stone
FACT - A thousand years is a long time to wait. Even if you're stone. And especially if you're using that time to fret over a single failure. Obviously, I'm talking about the Great Stone Ape, so let's get past that now. Let's Get to Why he's a great stone ape. He began as a guardian of a valuable ancient artifact of the Jun People. This Artifact was the "Amulet of the Righteous Soul," and the Jun people trained a sentient Gorilla to guard the Temple in which it was housed. Unfortunately, the Gorilla was so stiffly standing guard that he didn't notice someone sneak in from the side. A villager had gone in to remove it from its place with the intention of hiding it elsewhere. The Spaniards had come to claim the territories encapsulating the Jun Guar province. Hernando Cortez himself was the one to snatch the Amulet for the villager's hands, as the villager had only just gotten back to the village where everyone else was mourning over the loss of three guardsmen to the Spaniards. Cortez was incapable of discovering the Amulet's Secrets, but nonetheless, he kept it and passed it on to his descendants. It now belongs to an Autumn Cortez, who continues his legacy by plundering just the same. With sheer power. After his failure, the Gorilla was berated by the remaining villagers after the Spaniards left, and as punishment, turned to stone. Now, however, Autumn has found out how to unlock the Amulet's Secrets, and the awakening of the Amulet gave enough spiritual Signal to detect the location, and the Ape woke up on the spot... a Thousand years or so later. he is on hot pursuit for the Amulet. But he doesn't know how to catch up with her, as she flies around the world frequently on new business ventures, and he cannot keep up with flights. Nonetheless, his passionate hunt is relentless, and with the heft of his Stone Slugger club, no obstacles are capable of blocking his path.

UPDATE FOR 10/21/14 == Ability *slow*
Character - High Roller - H Affiliation - Casino Del Rio Mer Attributes - Psychic, Melee, Basic
FACT - It's your Lucky Day! Or, it would be, if you had this guy's skills. Or his lucky charms. He carries a pair of fuzzy dice with abnormal qualities of both fortune and misfortune. If he were to use them, he would be taking a chance with his very life. and if he can bind them to an enemy with a lucky roll, he can start up a combo attack that looks like he's having quite a lot of fun. the number on one of the die calls on the elemental function of the attack, and the other determines the functional motion of the attack. And then there are those special moments. those times when he's up against a dire enemy and must roll his dice on full activation. This means that each die gains one Deadly Tile that could kill him or at the very least wound him, for every time he rolls, in a successive run of up to four rolls. But the payoff is enormous. a roll of two sixes results in damage dealt equal to an exponential result - 66 points of damage. But again, it's a big risk. And depending on the enemy's skill level, those sixes may be the ones replaced with Deadly Tiles. As a side result, you wouldn't want them then. Thankfully, he's not limited to only the roll effects. He may also activate them as projectiles, Newtonballs, clackers, and separate for throwing hammers. Fun. Sometimes. Unfortunately, he doesn't like to use them at all, and won't unless he has to. He would much rather stick to Statistical data analysis, and throwing normal dice as projectiles. Still does damage, but not as much. In any case, you don't want to take a chance messing around with him. Fuzzy Dice!

UPDATE FOR 10/22/14 == Characterization
Character - Arson - V Affiliation - CREED Attributes - Force, Fire, Darkness
FACT - Arson is an A**hole. forgive my language, but burning down peoples homes, kidnapping teenagers for pay, and working as the town's sheriff as a cover to let all sorts of villains off the hook makes you one in my book. I would figure that makes him one in anyone's book. It's this alone that kicks him down to the second to last member of the WYVERN Elite of CREED's Inner Faction, but he's still up there in terms of power and ability. It doesn't help that he's an ex-veteran, or that he obtains his power by consuming breakoff matter from Stardust's fire charges. As a result, no one is truly sure of what he is capable of. And pretty much his only weakness is money. Since Breaker pays him heftily anyway, that would be something hard to top. But man, he's got a fire-y temper when you remove it from his possession, even if it's a penny. It would be a funny sight, except for the fact that you don't have long to enjoy it before he cooks you like a roast, from something as simple as a punch. And if he's feeling pissed enough to give out some of the alcohol from his personal flask, your funeral pyre will be seen from a mile away. it might even get through his eye patch.

UPDATE FOR 10/23/14 == Ability *Getting there* Character - Monger - V Affiliation - Old Ironface's Attack Squadron Attributes - Metal, Stone, Melee FACT - "Na, na na na, na na, na na Can't touch this!" Yeah, that's right, he's got a shield. And there's nothing you can *8 shots later* do about it... *shield shatters* Well then. What a shield can't do, the next one can, and according to Monger, ANYTHING is a shield. virtually anything laying around can be stretched out into a shield, a strong one or a weak one depending on the material. and he can use the said shield for a variety of things, like the bone rush, the disc throw, a boomerang, etc. But Monger likes his shields big so that his immense strength can shove them through the air at a speed that plasmizes some of it. Try getting in his way, and you'll be electrified, defecated, smashed, and disintegrated, slowly. It takes the luck of catching him without a shield to catch him off guard. And then you must prevent him from getting one at all costs to survive. Not even with a higher level will you be able to beat him while he has his shield. You've just got to remove it, simply put. give it its eight shots and run for it to dodge and finish him off. Otherwise, you're as good as toast.

UPDATE FOR 10/24/14 == Ability *pushing for it*
Character - Phaze Cannon - H Affiliation - MatrixSpace Technologies Attributes - Tech, Force, Fire
FACT - You ever hear of an Ion Cannon? Pretty much a laser rifle with a big beam, right? Not exactly. Especially in this case. An Ion canon works by pumping a heavy metallic substance with enough photons so that electrons radiate from them. Those photons are then collected by a focusing crystal, and refracted toward the intended target, with all of the energy of lagging electrons with photon charges building up. if done correctly with a crystal of the right dimensions, a mirror can be added to build it up even more through angular momentum to where it comes out in a prolonged burst with high energy. Then there's the phase cannon. It goes one step further by implementing a high enough energy wave diffused with additional Infrared waves in order to melt the affected matter to another state, i.e., solid, liquid, gas, or plasma. Phaze's laser goes on to control the temperature by manipulating Ionized Ice V into another gap in the mechanism with proportions to refract the light further to either negate the infrared, slow the photons down enough to lower temperature via B-E Condensate, or electrify it more altogether. In addition, the metal used to radiate the cylinder is a superheavy element yet unknown to most of mankind, and it radiates electrons of its own, via sigma radiation, to wires running to the action zone. the spark gap there is interrupted by another ultra-thin refraction crystal, and one through which the ions travel. They pick up more electrons there, and provide a delay for the blast by using the spark gap's momentum as a barrier. But you know what's even cooler? This was an anatomy lesson...

UPDATE FOR 10/25/14 == Ability * moving slow still*
Character - Soulburst - H Affiliation - Extraterrestrial, Specialty Spy Attributes - Wave, Psychic, Energy
FACT - Soulburst makes ghosts and light prisms both look inferior. Because he can. He collects light in a sort of catch and release system. he can't hold it any longer than it wants to stay, but he can collect some stray photons to build up a beam inside of his body to discharge at multiple angles at once when saturated. Also, he can use this energy to push himself through walls, and other materials, at will. His capability to transfer light allows him to reposition, refract, deflect, hold, or bounce with just his bare hands, and use it to intensify lasers, lights, etc. to the point at which they can burn through normal light beams themselves. them's some fast-moving particles. On top of that, he works like a solar battery, using the energy he consumes from absorption to fuel his life. It's enough that he can recycle his own nutrients and take them from the surrounding area. He lacks a tongue or teeth, so he can't eat anyway, but he still likes to eat exotic materials to boost his immune system. He's capable of eating anything from raw hydrogen to lead without experiencing any ill side-effects. He likes to think he's made of ectoplasm to explain his capabilities, but in reality, he was just a mutation of a mix between two species. on another planet. Wonderful.

UPDATE FOR 10/26/14 == Backstory *late this time*
Character - Phaze Cannon - H Affiliation - MatrixSpace Technologies Attributes - Tech, Force, Fire
FACT - I've already done this one. But I haven't done anything about backstory. Here is that. Ok, so he's a cyborg, that much has been established. The question is why, and the question is how. Well, Herm Gerval was born with a degenerative disease, that halted his capability to move most of the muscles in his body. So he went to see someone about it. Thankfully, on his planet, there was someone who was able to help. he was outfitted with a mechanical suit of armor that fixed his motive skills and combatted the disease. but the disease, being a neurodisease, turned into a computer virus in impulses and destroyed the mech, leaving one arm of the mech missing, as well as a leg, and the same from Herm's body. The same Biotech researcher who had fixed him up in the first place found him and fixed him again, this time with the remaining tech from the robot developing its own firewall based on Herm's willpower. He directly infused the remaining tech to Herm's missing body parts and then Herm became cyborg. The doctor then managed to catch the same disease from a contagious offshoot, and died shortly after, peacefully. But not before Herm learned the secrets of the doc's techniques and knowledge. He has since replaced the doctor as the Biotech Guru for the planet, and runs a shop called MatrixSpace Technologies to help all those on the planet to cure their diseases. He can manipulate all of his tech by willpower, and has given himself a few modifications. But lately, he found there was a software package inside the arm that he hasn't been able to open yet, and that requires a code to get in. Worse yet, the code is a memory. So while he works on trying to decrypt the software in his spare time, and treats customers elsewise, he was unaware of the giant message that went out from a planet in the next galaxy over, Nekron. nor was the rest of the planet. All of their tech being biotech, they hadn't any ways of acquiring radio signals as anything but a frequency interrupter. This spurred the Shut Down of 24395. About a year later, a Large extraterrestrial ship comes along by the planet and lands six or seven people on it. A team of interstellar ambassadors go to greet them, but decide to turn them in to authorities. Herm goes to visit, and receives an invite to join the team through a series of complex talks. He accepts. But his conditions must be met first, and therefore the heroes begin another quest to save the common man. Bonus points because Phaze Cannon gives Code Red a serious boost ability.

UPDATE FOR 10/27/14 == Backstory *getting there, gotta keep it moving.*
Character - Pewter Coyote - H Affiliation - Defenders at Home Attributes - Tech, Animal, Melee
FACT - Pewter Coyote is about as determined as Hugh Hefner is a player. Now get that connotation out of your head and your mind out of the gutter. His name is Takashi Havre, and he comes from a long line of Japanese-Americans, with a little bit of French mixed in. Takashi, being the ever curious fellow that he is, went to investigate when his dad was acting unusual. He would always clear the parlor room in the family house and disappear in it. Takashi watched with a spy helicopter, and found the secret basement below the house. He traversed it and came across the hidden laboratory after a certain amount of trouble inside the tunnel system. Some major booby traps down there. But he found his dad's lab when his dad wasn't in there and saw with his own eyes the suit of the Azure Lion, a fabled hero of the Tokyo downtown area. It turned out to be his dad. So Takashi took a throwing star as a souvenir. Then he left the lair and said nothing. Three years later, he finally came out with it, at the age of sixteen, and his dad was amazed. He was retiring too. So he hooked Takashi up with the protection organization that he had been working for, and Takashi became an at-home Defender. HE got his own suit and his own abilities and tech. better yet, he was able to join alongside his long time childhood friend, Natsumi Tonoko. Then the following year, without warning, Natsumi disappeared completely. Takashi grew dark and moody, and will stop at nothing to bring her back. Oh. And turns out they like each other. Surprise, surprise...

UPDATE FOR 10/28/14 == Ability *♪ keep on, keepin' on ♪*
Character - Mudslide - H Affiliation - Rare Earths, Subterra Attributes - Dust, Water, Speed
FACT - This guy plays dirty. Literally, and not figuratively. He takes pleasure from being a part of whatever mess is present. The problem is what he leaves behind. Not only does it function as an oil slick, but as a portable ocean on which he can surf, cannonball, slide, and splash. his ability to do so comes from the high-powered water-jets in his feet that pulverize any material underneath for a certain distance. He can shut it on and off at will, but chooses to leave it on usually. He is immune to flames, poison, and living things, and unless you have some sort of armor when against him, you most certainly will suffocate on his mud. Thankfully, he chooses not to allow it to get past neck-level before drying it out completely to a point where they are encased in hardened sediment. He can then withdraw the entire chunk of soil and cart enemies off at will, using them as battering rams, projectiles, hostages, or captives. and no matter how much they struggle, they are stuck. Hopefully, he will eventually learn to use a broom.

UPDATE FOR 10/29/14 == Ability *3 in one day? What?*
Character - Screaming Hawk - H Affiliation - Defenders at Home Attributes - Tech, Animal, Air
FACT - Screaming Hawk is Natsumi Tonoko, best friend and love interest of Takashi Havre, or Pewter Coyote. But instead of delineating the circumstances that brought her and him to meet, or that brought about her recruitment, I will talk about her capabilities, which are much more entertaining at the moment. Her abilities after attaining a suit allow her vision to become much more adept, and easy to focus. Her suit gives her literal eyes in the back of her head, and all around 360 vision from the holographic hawk mask on the suit, projected from her neckline brace. it's a full HUD readout with full capability. She also has holographic wings that enable full flight and hovering, and comes equipped with a ray gun, hawk claws, and bent swords. Bent swords that shoot feathers, which can be ignited to flame with combo shot from her ray gun. Fun stuff. Suit also includes autopilot functions that enable her to focus on more important things, like enemies that seek to end her life.

UPDATE FOR 10/30/14 == Backstory *getting closer, closer, closer*
Character - Origin - H Affiliation - League of Heroes Attributes - Cosmic, Weapon, Energy
FACT - You've never heard of the Hindenburg II. And that's okay. The first was bad enough. But the problem was that the first one had an uncertain cause as to how it went down. But the Hindenburg II was sabotaged. No doubt about it. And we know why because this man, John Damon, survived. He thinks the saboteur did too, but that's awfully unrealistic. Thanks to the weird, special order cigarettes he was smoking at the time, the hydrogen explosion ended up gracing him with superpowers. His best friend also died in the explosion, and John was left with nothing but a single military patch off his uniform. Now he's back to cigs, only the brand he had been smoking before was no longer in existence and there is no hydrogen explosion to catalyze superpowers. He has cancer, and no intentions of fighting it, only to find a successor he has no idea the hands of time can be reversed.

UPDATE FOR 10/31/14 == Backstory *Would have been on Halloween...*
Character - Zombie - V Affiliation - Creep Force, C.R.E.E.D. Attributes - Undead, Virus, Darkness
FACT - Zombie was an unintentionally stupid creation. If not for the ability to animate and reanimate himself at will, he would not last vey long at all. Wayne Blake, a lab assistant for one of CREED’s underling projects, came to find himself locked in the office one night because of the other members assuming he’d gone home. Unfortunately, an experimental project in the next floor up of the building was one he didn’t know about…The Static Animation Project, or SAP for short, involved taking an object or creature out of time and freezing it in one facet point of motion. Their latest test involved leaving a piece of rotting meat suspended in time overnight. Unfortunately, this piece of meat was the only “edible” item in the building, and power had been shut down for the weekend. The meat, which was the only thing still powered on, was unknown to Wayne, and he ate some of the meat to sustain survival until he could leave come Monday. The meat’s disease that caused its rot, though, was unfrozen by time as the little microbes multiplied and wriggled around while eating very small particles of the meat, supercharged enough to maintain their lives until the meat was swarmed with them. These microbes, now unhindered by time issues, were transferred to Wayne, who now began to develop sores and rot himself. His digestion also strengthening his withstanding of the microbial assault, it took over completely and he became a living zombie, with no more thoughts but a hankering for brains.

UPBDATE FOR 11/1/14 == Ability *the "B" is silent*
Character - Armadillo - H Affiliation - Planet Gelasphere Attributes - Metal, Animal, Speed
FACT - Armadillo does not hide nearly as often as his Earth counterpart would be. Instead, he shields up and rolls out. Due to various joints unique to his species, and skin depressions on his back, he can equip metal plating and fold himself into a ball. Muscles in the skin depressions then push the plates one direction or another and manage to roll his ball and force himself across the landscape. the rest of that metal, for the sake of staying intact and tight, is sharp-edged, so anything it contacts with has potential to get shredded severely. Or just simply flattened. Only issue is that his navigation while in ball form relies on feeling ground vibrations. Yuck. That's going to be a B**** to program...

UPDATE FOR 11/2/14 == Lvl Design *ooh. that's new...*
Character - Aquabomb - H Affiliation - League of Heroes Attributes - Shape Shifter, Dust, Water
FACT - Yes, I'm doing this guy again. No, it's not because I've run out of interesting information. Rather, it is because of relevant events that remind me how cool the setup for the stage is. Alright, so we've established that he is salt-based. You've seen the picture of him, here too, with various colors corresponding to different salts. WELL, this level shows you how he earned his colors. So some unknown force convinces him to come into the forest, where he comes across a reverse oasis. And a series of rogue woodland spirits surrounded him and blasted him apart. He landed separately in multiple pools of water with different chemical compositions. And he cannot do anything about it. That's where you come in. your job is to enter these pools of salted water, with him dissolved in each one. After getting into the water, you will be covered in the salt in the shape of the respective woodland creature, and with their respective capabilities. Those abilities will help you to access another part of the forest nearby, where you can successfully navigate and set off a chain reaction that starts boiling the respective pool in the main clearing. once all of the pools have been successfully set off, the water evaporates quickly and all of the salt in the pools rises up to form the actual woodland creatures. Here you fight. Once they are defeated, each in turn will collapse to the ground and solidify into a specifically-shaped chunk that will make up Aquabomb. Once ALL are beaten, the salts spiral and swirl in the air, and collect into the fully-formed fellow hero atop the pillar in the middle of the room.

UPDATE FOR 11/3/14 *RRGH!!*
Character - Cryon - H Affiliation - Science!!! Attributes - Tech, Ice, Water
FACT - It was a dark and stormy night. No, Really. It took some concentrated nitrogen compounds from a thunderbolt to catalyze the experiment. What experiment? Well, it's complicated. Trying to cryonically freeze a steady stream of photons through a perfect lens of glass means it had to be extremely cold. Like, absolute zero cold. well one of the best ways to do this is with lasers, but unfortunately, the laser machines heat up on their own. So you've gotta cool them down with something else. liquid nitrogen fulfills that purpose well. But nitrogen is hard to process out of the air without the right equipment. Thankfully, the nitrogen created by a lightning bolt is free of the other elements in the air, which are burned up by the high temperatures. this nitrogen can then be collected by an attachment on a lightning rod, and used for whatever purpose it is needed for. Like liquefying it and cooling lasers. Unfortunately for Dr. Dieter Froschenstein, he made the unfortunate mistake of automating the whole cooling system. The storm was extra-strength, and he lived atop a high hill. Maybe you might know where this is going? He got a Nitrogen overload. the containment unit spilled out from an overflow, and the lab was filled with Liquid nitrogen, and the flow knocked over one of the lasers. Dieter was swept up and frozen solid. A laser hit a trigger button, and it went off in the direction of - you guessed it - Dr. Froschenstein. Being that he was frozen solid, and also that there was a cryonic lens in the path of the laser to refract it perfectly, he was hit full on with a dose of pretty much every kind of radiation there is. The laser then smashed on the floor, and all of the superheated parts shattered , melting the frozen stuff in turn. He thawed, but found himself the ability to be icy cold to the touch and yet still living. His blood freezes the air on contact. yes. the air. don't touch him or it will end up just like Elsa and Anna. and we know how that went.

UPDATE FOR 11/4/14 == Backstory *Catch it! Before it runs away!*
Character - Shimmer - H Affiliation - League of Heroes Attributes - Cosmic, Gamma, Atomic
FACT - Shimmer doesn't know a thing about her backstory. But she will. Natalie Evans has always had the ability to create decoys of herself for as long as she could remember. and unfortunately for her, they've always hinged on the effect of her looking sparkly. Such a moodiness-buzzkill. Anyway, her sparkly ability goes far beyond what has been said. Turns out she was adopted. Not by her parents, but by the planet. Y'see, she was born inside a star. Yeah. OP backstory, I know. But it doesn't deviate from the truth at all. She was created completely from remnants of a long-forgotten star, just at the moment it was inhaled by a neighboring black hole. at the same time, across the universe, another black hole inhaled a living human being. genetic code met limitless power and a white hole let the conglomerate out around our solar system. The very same particles managed to weasel their way into our atmosphere along some other space dust, and then through the ecosystem, and into the food eaten by a married couple on a very fateful night. You can fill in the rest. Long story short, she tries to find this out for herself, and for certain won't be happy with the results.

UPDATE FOR 11/5/14 == Backstory
Character - Updraft - V Affiliation - Unidentified Exoplanet Attributes - Animal, Air, Speed
FACT - This guy can fly. Obvious, right? Well, absurdly enough, it isn't the wings that allow his flight. Instead, the air sacs in his bones, similar to birds here on Earth, fill up with gas that allows them to be lighter than the surrounding atmosphere, which then allows the wings to guide his path. however, unlike the rest of his species, he swallowed uranium and fell into a pit of boric acid, which are common across the planet. The boric acid reacts with the air there to produce a lot of hydrogen, an area they can't fly because of inability to find a less-dense gas. so naturally he fell in, was anodized, and poof. Now we've got the embittered, core-fusion-fuelled, helium-filled Updraft. Yeah I know. Lame backstory. Doesn't make sense. Whatever. Doesn't change the legitimacy at all. Just because you don't get it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Dividing by zero, anyone? Well anyway, being that he's so embittered, he was alienated from his home planet by the remaining inhabitants. Always feeling sick, his dilemma is something of a pun of avian flu. But in any case, he's now stuck on a neighboring planet, forced to scrounge to keep on living. That is, when he doesn't feel ready to let himself die of it.

UPDATE FOR 11/6/14 == Ability
Character - Warhead - V Affiliation - Incarcerated in Bienzar Prison, Hong Kong Attributes - Explosive, Fire, Gamma
FACT - You may want to be careful of this one, you wouldn't want him to lose his head... Pun intended. Well, judging by his picture, and by his attributes, you can probably tell exactly what I mean. Don't worry. It grows back. Or maybe you should worry about that: he's a villain. You may be ready to make a "boom-boom" on seeing him when he's an enemy, but also keep in mind that he cannot use any of the utilities that would be located in the head while it's growing back. That's to your advantage. Use it well. Maybe you should...use your head...

UPDATE FOR 11/7/14 == Ability *time to catch up*
Character - Warpspace - V Affiliation - Himself Attributes - Wave, Cosmic, Force
FACT - Black holes are tasty. You'll, uh, have to take my word for it. This fellow swallowed one unintentionally and by hard coincidence. Now he's a supervillain, because, well, because logic. Because reasons. Because having someone who can harness the power of a black hole is cool. Admit it. It's cool. Anyway, the black hole had been frozen in time when it was devoured, and so could not effect any new matter with its abilities, until it was unfrozen from time, from the center of his stomach, where potent acids had already begun to dissolve the core of the black hole. The process was painful. But in the end, he was granted a negative space hole in his very being, right in the middle of his torso. And he can control it with an adapted muscle that closes in front of the hole. He has unlimited capability of absorbing matter. And unlimited storage. Just one question... it has to go somewhere, doesn't it?

UPDATE FOR 11/8/14 == Design *I need to get a life*
Character - Lifeline - H Affiliation - C.R.E.E.D.? Attributes - Virus, Status, Energy
FACT - The editor's note this time was a pun. Yeah, you knew that. But you didn't know how. Maybe you may have also noticed that he and the most recent music upload share a name. Gee I wonder if that's like his theme song or something like that... Well, time to explain the character himself. Gotta keep this thread relevant. To start the explanation, this. Don't like this imagery? Well too bad. These things exist. They're called gooseneck barnacles. And they're freaky. Like tentacles... Don't dwell on that thought. Anyway, why bring these up? Because they are a crucial part of Mr. Randall Karby's existence and ability. He possesses extensions of his being in the form of tentacles running through his wrists, that extend out and may pierce their subjects. they look exactly like...you guessed it, gooseneck barnacles. what you may not expect though, is the manner in which they work. not only may they function like melee weapons as whips or similar weapons, but when they pierce, they may determine the fate of the subjects, especially when they are already wounded. See, the tentacles are filled with a chemical that numbs, as well as promotes blood clotting. that way, Karby can operate on them in the middle of the battlefield, and cauterize wounds himself. Nice and clean, and friendly right? Well, unless you are an enemy who hampers the entire mission, in which case he pumps you full of the cauterizing and numbing agent until you can no longer function, and you suffocate from lack of blood flow...

UPDATE FOR 11/9/14 == Ability *this may have some severe re-percussions...*
Character - Aftershock - V Affiliation - C.R.E.E.D. Attributes - Explosive, Tech, Force
FACT - You may have heard of the legendary Folk Hero, John Henry, but you've likely not heard of many alternate renditions of him. Here is yet another. This time, he's pretty much a robot. And he can cause earthquakes. YAAY! The iconic double sledgehammer is there, but combined with hydraulic impact hits. He also has impact gauntlets for pressure punches, and the same function in shoes. Fashion over function? Never. The best part is that the attacks get even more boost if on the beat of the background music. Reminds me of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat...*Shudders* Only problem is, before the level begins, you have to tune the pressure cycle of the gear yourself, so the impacts hit on the same tempo as the song, and you have very little indication of what tempo it will be. The payoff is worth it. Trust me, there is nothing as satisfying as watching a body of an enemy robot flung across the map to the tune of some awesome music.

UPDATE FOR 11/10/14 == Design *six in one day? and more to come? this is insanity!*
Character - Wolf Omega Affiliation - League of Heroes Attributes - Tech, Metal, Animal
FACT - Variable Weapons Systems really come in handy. So do AIs. And Robots are cool too, right? Y not combine all three? Voila! Here is that character you ordered. That'll be $11,263.95, please. WHAT?!?!? Okay, so in reality, this would be a problem. But in a virtual world, anything goes. So it's perfectly fine for it to exist there. And it's also perfectly fine that it would have unlimited storage for weapons. Well, okay that's not true, but the robot had enough storage in its hindquarters to house mechanical constructor arms, and in the forequarters plenty of scrap metal and tech to create any weapon it encounters elsewhere. OP? Maybe. But oh well. When you have $11,263.95 to design your own, you can come talk to me about how to do it better.

UPDATE FOR 1/1/15 == Design
Character - Breaker - V Affiliation - WYVERN Elite, C.R.E.E.D. Attributes - Wave, Psychic, Electric
FACT - It's the new year. Time to make resolutions. Like the one made here to try harder to keep on track with these. But everyone will agree that for anything effort-wise to happen, there must be motivation. Breaker, aka Paul Turner, is that motivation. There are plenty of characters out there that embody the classic "evil-head-of-a-corporation" archetype, so I have no reason to bore you with that. He wants to take over the world. Why? No one knows. He's crazy. But for all the crazy and "evil" he is, he makes some pretty sweet gadgets. Gadgets with bugs, that is. ......Yeah, watch out for those. You have already read some of these, I would assume. You have seen C.R.E.E.D. (Collective Research and Evolutionary Experience Division) listed as an affiliation. Many times. He's the leader. Heading the WYVERN Elite, a special group of top-level villains using all of the most advanced gear possible and the most enhancements needed to be a formidable force, Paul still needs more power. Recruits - Willing or not. He employs kidnapping, brainwashing, boosting, and trapped gadgets all in order to gain recruits who will stay loyal and help rule the world universe. Speaking of which, isn't there an all-powerful being at the edge of it in hibernation, perfect for capture? Goodbye, got a journey to undertake. "MEN! BEGIN ASSEMBLING A SPACESHIP!!!"

UPDATE FOR 1/2/15 == Ability
Character - Spudswick - H Affiliation - Planet Gardenia Attributes - Nature, Air, Force
FACT - Potato cannons are awesome. So awesome, that even if you've never seen one, you will agree that they're awesome. Amp it up a little: potato cannon that could kill someone. Shape it like an arm, rig it with hydraulics, a fuse, and tech: getting punched by a potato hurts. And it's a hot potato. Attach said arm to an alien life form that can infinitely sprout potatoes from his back into a clip for firing?: Holy **** that's Spudswick! Other than missing an arm when you meet him, he's pretty ordinary as far as his species goes. But lacking an arm gave enough room to attach an arm cannon, and he already had an infinite supply of ammo, so naturally, the good Doctor Maximus fixed him up. The least you could do for crashing your aircraft right though his house. He decides to come along with you. Cool.

UPDATE FOR 1/3/15 == Ability
Character - Poolcord - H Affiliation - League of Heroes, Vengeance Self-help Group Attributes - Electric, Melee, Energy
FACT - Entropy is boring. Y'know, the thing they tell you about in science class where not all energy can be saved or converted and is released instead? Blah, blah, blah, boring. But what isn't boring about it is that entropy means there's a ton of free energy out there for anyone who can figure out how to use it. That's where Poolcord comes in. He absorbs heat in a way that leaves the molecules cold but not himself or anything else. he still radiates entropy too, but has a special way of using it that works a little backwards. Heat to electricity. If you think you know how that can be done, lemme know, cuz I sure as h*** don't. The fellow uses the electricity by releasing it in an orb of sparks (how about that? d'you know how to do that?) and firing it at his enemies. It has a horrible hit rate, but when it succeeds, there's usually plenty of entropy around the defeated thing to more than make up for the misses. As well as the scatter effect.

UPDATE FOR 1/4/15 == Ability
>Decrypting... >Admission Accepted >Retrieving Data... > >Character - Jumpdrive - H >Affiliation - Maximus Labs, League of Heroes, Whatever company pays him the highest for advertising, the Internet >Attributes - Tech, Melee, Energy > >Retrieving Image... > >FACT - Jumpdrive is smarter than the average money-grubbing knucklehead. He builds his own devices, helps the heroes with lab work, and does instant data transfers with his new technique. He would patent it, but it's something that would allow the world's population get dumber and dumber. He'll hold onto it for now. He's also into skydiving - without a parachute. Gotta love technology. The moment before he hits the ground, his one-of-a-kind Action Suit activates parkour techniques and energy bursts that completely destroy the momentum of the fall and replace it with a cool ride down the road at 60 mph - on foot (Wheels, technically). The suit consist of a Helmet, with wires running down the back of the neck through the thick thermal cloth you'd find on an overpowered snow coat, a bunch of pulleys, straps, and hooks, and the gloves and boots, which enable wheels, energy bursts, and gymnastics, class-free. No idea where the energy is stored. Maybe wires into his brain?!?!? We do, however, know where the energy goes. the suit can go through a series of charges, during which an energy ring pulsates in and out around his waist and changes colors. It looks like a laser ring. the higher the rainbow color strength, the more powerful the energy burst. But it can only build power when the user is inert. that's where the skydiving comes in. headfirst plummets allow it to heat up faster so as to not deal with friction. If he falls from a great enough height, the suit has enough time to charge clear to sparkling black, and the boost skyrockets enough power to fuel a 747 for weeks. What else could you need in a suit that awesome? Try Wi-fi hotspot built in and enough security clearance (hacked or no) to access just about any file in existence(if not, then he would have to be close to the computer containing that file to access it). In the blink of an eye. Can internet even go that fast yet? He can store them in the suit's 1 PB(petabyte) hard drive. Suit has readout display and its own AI voice commands. And it works great for combat too. especially with the gymnastics function. > >USER INPUT - >Q: The suit's cool and all, but I thought this game used all superheroes, terrestrial, extraterrestrial, or otherwise. What makes this guy different from normal humans except for the resources available to him? >A: The suit wont come off. It can power-down, which collapses the whole thing down to a neck brace and backpack, but in order for it to work correctly, he had to attach it to his back with a material adhesive that he was unfamiliar with. It's stuck. Plus the AI is his subconscious hooked up to a computer chip. To summarize, a.) he talks to himself a lot, b.) he can control a computer with his mind, and c.) yes, the suit is wired to his brain. > >End File >Encrypting and Recoding File Access.

UPDATE FOR 1/5/15 == Ability
Character - Sync - H Affiliation - League of Heroes, XTapp Audio Attributes - Status, Psychic, Basic
FACT - At the same time as I am typing this, I am also listening to music, chatting on the internet, and reading my notes, side by side. I also have the option to turn them all off at once with a simple switch of the power button. You could say all of the programs are synced to the processor. Now imagine that I could do that to you...remotely. you can see what I am getting at, obviously. That's Jason Dubble, aka Sync, for you. He has the ability to stimulate a link between any set of processes he wishes. And carries batteries with him everywhere, which he can give the same treatment to with people. And he tells them. He's been accused of murder thrice, but without sufficient evidence, he was never caught. Luckily for many, they are superstitious enough to believe him, and as a result refrain from using the batteries. But if someone is especially evil and needs to go down, he has his mysterious partner, Clearcoat, plant a button device on them linked to a wireless remote and with their own frequency. He has a list. If need be, he can turn off the button cell and subsequently their life. No one knows how he does it. At the very least, he chooses people who are well-deserving of death to be subjected to this. But again, it is not limited to batteries. He once, at request, even tied together the lived of two lovers so that when they grew old they would die happy together. We'll let you know what comes out of that. It can be any detectable process, and from a great range once encountered one time. Let us simply hope he can come across a way to dispel his links.

UPDATE FOR 1/6/15 == Ability
Character - Salamander - H Affiliation - Slapshot Records, League of Heroes Attributes - Wave, Animal, Poison
FACT - There are microbes out there that react and move to sound. Not very surprising. An amphibian's mucous can carry volumes of microbes. Still not impressed? Fine. How about being able to control acidic microbes with speedy digestion by screaming at them. Kind of like when your parents blow their tops. Samantha Bortridge's problem is that she isn't audible any other way, and due to a mutagenic drug she was duped into taking, is covered in such microbe-filled mucous (ew...) that can disintegrate anything. It gets worse when she sweats (double ew...). But she'd trade that ability instantly for a chance to have her old voice, her old life, her old self, back to the way it was when she was putting out hit singles to top the charts. But for the time being, she's stuck living the life of a hobo. Poor girl...
